The idea to use music in language lessons is not new.
It has been known for years.
And it is still a very good idea, since musicality and linguistic instinct are in fact so closely related that they´re almost one.
But the idea to use exactly this kind of teaching material that we have created, grew because we felt a need for a different introduction to the grammar part, being the most boring and dry part of all language teaching, a fact that - unfortunately - means that many students don´t develop their linguistic instinct in the most sufficient way.

We have tried to solve this problem by using music as a helping tool. So even if our teaching material is first and foremost concerned with language, the music forms such an integral part of the learning that the two fields cannot be separated. Therefore we have tried to create a musical notation that is easy to read, in order that the students can play the songs themselves - and at the same time be familiar with the grammar that all the songs speak about.
And this is the innovative thing about this CD, that we almost only treat the grammar stuff and that we encourage the students to play and sing the music themselves, either by singing along with the karaoke version of the CD or by studying the notes from our homepage.
